Level 3 sex offender arrested in Wahpeton

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - A Level 3 predatory sex offender was arrested in Wahpeton by Special Agents from the FBI Minneapolis Division - Fargo Resident Agency.

William Upshaw was indicted on December 3rd in Minnesota Federal District Court on three counts of Child Pornography for Distribution and one count of Possession of Child Pornography. An arrest warrant was issued the same day.

The indictment and arrest warrant were based upon a search warrant and voluntary statements made by Upshaw indicating his involvement in possessing and distributing child pornography.

FBI Agents tracked Upshaw to Wahpeton, where his arrest was made without incident.
