Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- If you haven't got a flu shot yet, public health officials say now is the time to do it.
The flu season is off to an early start in parts of the U.S. and local health officials think that might be a sign of a more active flu season. They urge anyone over the age of 6 month to get vaccinated before the main season hits.
Dr. John Baird with the Fargo Cass Public Health says, "it's usually into January, February or even March that we'll have influenza cases that really are a lot of cases. We've only had 31 cases in the state so far at this point so it's very early and you have plenty of time to get your flu vaccine."
You can get a flu shot from your regular doctor, at many pharmacies, or from the public health office.
