Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Careless criminals have been known to post their bad deeds on Facebook, Twitter, even You Tube. But tonight a story out of West Fargo, that will have you shaking your head.

24-Year old Steven Monson and 21-year old Nicholas Amicucci both of Fargo allegedly stole a purse from a Petro gas station employee in West Fargo, then used her credit card to buy pizza, AND, you guessed it, gave their delivery address.

According to West Fargo police, the two men walked into the Petro Serve on Main Avenue and stole a purse from behind the counter. My kids' social security cards, immunization records.

Clerk Sarah Blackwell was cleaning the store.

Sarah: "Ran over and the guy had already jumped in his car and took off."

But Sarah took action.

Mike Reitan/West Fargo Police Asst. Chief: "She went online and in an attempt to put a hold or cancel on a money card from wal mart and found there was activity on the card."

And then she tracked her credit card's activity, and found some.

Sarah: "So I looked it up on line and said transaction was at pizza patrol."

That's right, the two ordered pizza and then used the stolen credit card. The men then gave Pizza Patrol their address for delivery.

And that is when West Fargo police began working with pizza patrol here on 13th avenue to track the customers who had ordered the pizza using the stolen credit card.

Police tracked the pizza delivery to the Sunset Motel and a room there.

Mike: "Went an obtained a search warrant and recovered the property and drug paraphernalia."

West Fargo Police say it is a great reminder, if you are rippped off, take action to help yourself immediately.

Mike: "The quicker you act, the faster we identify the suspects."

And Sarah learned a lesson as well.

Sarah: "Going to lock my purse in the back office."

The men were charged with possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a credit card, and possession drug paraphernalia.
