Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The boys basketball season for the Class A schools tips off later this week, and the year can't start soon enough for the Davies boys.

The Eagles are coming off a bitter finish to last year losing in a state qualifier.

Now they've added some firepower for the new year to go with Andrew Kozlowski, two transfers are now in the mix in Tanner Kretchman from Kindred and David Olson from Central. Each were terrific at their old schools and now are ready to take the Eagles to new heights this season.

Tanner Kretchman, Transferred from Kindred H.S.: “We're all going to complement each other's games. I think in the open court with me and Andrew, we've been playing together since we were in fourth grade. So we really know what we're going to do on the court. That helps a lot.”

David Olson, All-Conf. at Central Last Year: “I want to come here, win some games, and get a lot of rebounds, and do my job on defense.”

Bart Manson, Davies Head Coach: “We certainly have a vision of where we want this team to be. Of course, we'd love to make it to the state tournament and compete for an EDC spot out of that. But we just have to line up and play games, too.”

Davies opens the season Saturday against Jamestown.
