Detroit Lakes couple wins Chevy Volt from Menard’s

Detroit Lakes, MN (WDAY TV) - A Detroit Lakes couple left the Menard's store there today, driving home a brand new car.

Jim and Joyce Armstrong were visiting family recently in Elk River, when they signed up for a giveaway.

His name was selected from a Menard's Company Wide contest that featured the giveaway of a Chevy Volt.

Today, in Detroit lakes, store employees met the Armstrongs and gave them the keys to the new electric car.

Jim Armstrong, Won a Volt Car: “Interesting, kind of neat, different, you know, a good idea, to go electric.”

Jim says that even though he likes this new car, he is not getting rid of his Mercury Grand Marquis.
