Fort Noks bar owner is being sued by the city

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The City of Fargo is suing a Broadway Bar owner for not bringing his private parking lot up to city standards.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The City of Fargo is suing a Broadway Bar owner for not bringing his private parking lot up to city standards.

The civil lawsuit is filed against Fort Noks owner Rick Engen. He's on the city's Parking Commission. Officials say they've pushed Engen to develop the gravel lot next to his bar, since numerous people have complained about it.

The lawsuit claims Engen's unlit, unfenced parking lot violates city laws.

Engen says he had a project in the works, but "the economy took a pullback."
