Crookston, MN (WDAY TV) - A Crookston man will spend 20 years in prison for a 2011 crash that killed a Thief River Falls man.
Twenty-four year-old Ricardo Mello stole a police car, then lost control of the vehicle, hitting a pickup.The crash killed 78 year-old Eddie Briggs.
Mello will have to submit a DNA sample, pay $36,000 in restitution, and can't ever own a gun.
