Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) -- A Bismarck murderer is being described as the most psychotic and dangerous person the psychologist has ever evaluated.

John Bridges was given life in prison without parole plus 20 years. Bridges kidnapped and killed 40 year old Lee Clay in Bismarck in July.

Clay was in the area looking for work. The prosecutor says he had the misfortune of meeting the wrong person at the wrong time.

Lloyd Suhr, Burleigh County Prosecutor, says, "He was held at knife point, pushed into the back of the van, duct taped, zip tied and subsequently murdered out on the Interstate."

Bridges was caught when he crashed his van on the interstate near Bismarck. He told authorities he had planned to kill a second man claiming both him and Clay had been recording him.
