WIlliston, ND (WDAY TV) -- The stats just keep flooding in on the magnitude of the Bakken Oil Patch.
Employment there is soaring, up 50 from 3 years ago. The number of Oil Patch jobs are at nearly 80 thousand, which makes up 21 percent of North Dakota's total.
It's likely because of the lure of a big paycheck. The annual wage for a worker is nearly 90 thousand dollars.
That's nearly double the state average of 41 thousand.
