ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Powerball jackpot increased to a record $425 million after no one won Saturday’s drawing, according to a press release from the Minnesota State Lottery.
If the lucky ticket holder had matched the numbers, they’d be taking home an estimated $325 million.
The drawing for the $425 million is Wednesday, and tickets can be purchased until 9 p.m. that day.
The estimated cash option for Wednesday’s jackpot is $278.3 million, which is also a record.
The previous high Powerball jackpot was $365 million and was won in Nebraska in 2006.
