Residents in Bucyrus, ND get help paying for fire damage

Bucyrus, ND (WDAY TV) -- People are in the giving spirit this time of year. And that is evident in the southwestern North Dakota town devastated by a wildfire.

Bucyrus, ND (WDAY TV) -- People are in the giving spirit this time of year. And that is evident in the southwestern North Dakota town devastated by a wildfire.

A relief fund for residents of Bucyrus has already taken in 100-thousand dollars.

Dakota Plains Federal Credit Union out of Lemmon, South Daktoa set up the fund after the Oct. 17 fire swept through the town of 27 people. The blaze destroyed four homes. Some families are still displaced. The credit union is continuing to accept donations.
