Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A few shoppers skipped the family gatherings all together to sit it out and wait for the doors to open at their favorite stores. Luckily for them, some stores opened earlier than ever before.
Just take a look at how these tents are whipping in the wind. When we came out here on Wednesday, we met up with these two who were the first ones out here. Obviously a change in temperature since then. So are you regretting coming out here at all Peter?
Peter: "I am regretting coming out here this early, but it's kinda fun."
Some people perched here since late Tuesday night, and braved the brutal turn of the temps.
Thorson: "kinda fun, really cold though. I advise not to come out here."
Sommerfeld: "standing in line, my brother and I thought we could man it out. But these guys had a heater so we thought we could snuggle in with them."
At Target, these people pulled off less than an hour wait before rushing in. Prepared, with a winter weather gear, and of course, a wish-list.
Kuhn: "to get a TV. Yeah, gotta get the TV, and an Xbox."
And to combat all the chaos, you gotta have a plan.
Hoots: " I just needed DVDs, I needed Blu rays, and luggage."
Even employees seemed energized by the rush of Black Friday bargain hunters.
Hejna: " a lot of the team members here, whether they are new, or have been here years on end, really enjoy the retail life and enjoy being here."
People may have cut out early on turkey dinner for these deals, but most say they couldn't pass up the blowout prices.
