Black Friday bargain hunters start early

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- And as you look out at tonight's weather it's hard not to think of those people camping outside of stores -- waiting, freezing to get the best deals. Luckily for them some stores are opening earlier than ever before.

Just take a look at how these tents are whipping in the wind. Some people even have ice houses out here. And these guys, camped outside Best Buy, still have two hours to go until the doors open.

Max Sommerfeld/shopper: "Standing in line, my brother and I thought we could man it out. But these guys had a heater so we thought we could snuggle in with them."

Some people perched here since late Tuesday night, and braved the brutal turn of the temps.

Peter Thorson/shopper: "kinda fun, really cold though. I advise not to come out here."

At Target, these people pulled off less than an hour wait before rushing in. Prepared, with a winter weather gear, and of course, a wish-list.

Jordan Kuhn/shopper: "to get a TV. Yeah, gotta get the TV, and an Xbox."

And to combat all the chaos, you gotta have a plan.

Hoots: "I just needed DVDs, I needed Blu rays, and luggage."

Even employees seemed energized by the rush of Black Friday bargain hunters.

Brian Hejna/Target Manager: " a lot of the team members here, whether they are new, or have been here years on end, really enjoy the retail life and enjoy being here."

People may have cut out early on turkey dinner for these deals, but most say they couldn't pass up the blowout prices.

If you missed out on the early Black Friday rush, and still want to catch a deal, there are some stores that haven't opened yet. West Acres, Best Buy, and Kohl's open at midnight.
