Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- For years, Thanksgiving meant three things to Americans: family, food and football. There is now a new "f" to add to the list: free-for-all.

That's what many people will see at stores tonight after dinner. As the traditional Black Friday sales slip into Thanksgiving Thursday, many Americans are giving up that extra slice of pie, extra time with family and extra quarter of football to hit the malls.

Kmart has been open all day and other major retailers like Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and Sears are starting their sales at 8pm -- Target opens at 9. The bargains are so inviting that some people have camped out for days to be the first to get their hands on discounted flat screens and laptops.

Some of the hottest deals? Target has the Nook Simple touch E-Reader for

sale at half price. And Wal-Mart has knocked $200 off a 46-INCH Samsung LED
