Red Cross volunteers return home from New Jersey hurricane area

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Parts of New Jersey and New York continue to slowly come back from Hurricane Sandy.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Parts of New Jersey and New York continue to slowly come back from Hurricane Sandy.

A couple from Fergus Falls that spent two weeks in New Jersey is back home.

They were also in the gulf coast to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Richard Johnson, Red Cross Volunteer: “There were a lot of similarities, although I think there was more destruction overall destruction along the beach area in Jersey and New York.”

Sonja Johnson, Red Cross Volunteer: “Many of them had lost everything you know but everyone we talked to was very very positive.”

The Johnsons drove one of the Red Cross mobile units from Fargo to New Jersey.
