Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The future of Fargo schools is being examined, as the district starts a new project.

The school board is working on a Long Range Facility Plan. Today, some school board members, the superintendent and a hired planning firm met with the city of Fargo.

They talked about how fast the city is growing in the South. Right now, growth is ahead of projections. The school district is already dealing with declining numbers on the north side, and crowding issues in the south.

Dr. Jeffrey Schatz, Fargo Schools superintendent, says, "it's really a complete look really at everything we have in the district from boundary lines to facilities to everything."

Dr. Schatz says the school board will hopefully have a plan by spring.
