Mickey Mouse turns 84

Mickey Mouse turns 84 today. Created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, Mickey took the stage in 1928 in the animated short Steamboat Willie.

He and his falsetto voice would appear in more than 130 films to follow. And those big ears, red shorts, yellow shoes and white gloves were trademark as Mickey became the official mascot of the Walt Disney Company.
