WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo School Superintendent David Flowers says an enrollment forecast reinforces decisions by the public and the school board to build more schools.

The Forum newspaper reports that the study forecasts enrollment to continue rapid growth through about 2017 before moderating and leveling out a decade from now. The 10-year forecast estimates enrollment will grow from about 8,050 students to nearly 11,400 by the 2022-23 school year.

West Fargo voters last year approved an $82.5 million bond package to fund new schools.
