Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Kids got creative for a cause this morning in the Oak Grove gymnasium.

Students constructed designs out of the food cans going to the Fill the Dome drive. They call it "CANstruction."

When they finished, a panel judged their aluminum masterpieces. The school has had some impressive entries in the past.

Ben Goehring, Oak Grove senior, says, "every year we don't know what we're gonna get for CANstruction. We've had the entire national mall of the United States built, we've had the Nebraska Cornhuskers football stadium built, and it's really awesome to see because a lot of us don't know what each grade's gonna build."

Fill the Dome was created by high school student council leaders in 2007.
