(WDAY TV) -- The 12-and-0 Mahnomen Indians are in the Minnesota state semifinals for the 2nd straight year. Last year, Mahnomen lost in the title game.

That loss has fueled them all season. Only once in 12 games has a foe scored more than 7 points, and last week's 26-0 win in the state quarters was the Indians' lowest offensive output this season.

Mahnomen head coach, John Clark Jr., says, "coming into the season, we thought we'd be pretty good this year but I thought did a great job of staying focused and getting better every week. Quite an accomplishment for these kids. Our community gets a little spoiled with football and their accomplishments, but I thought these kids represented very well."

Jake Hedstrom, Mahnomen Sr., says, "I'd say our explosion and quickness off the ball has been quite a bit better (than last year). And just our running the plays correctly and doing all the right things."

Unbeaten Mahnomen faces 9-2 A-C-G-C Saturday at 11:30 in the Metrodome.
