Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- You can't be fully prepared for a disaster unless you know what resources are available.

People could get ready at the Preparedness Expo, put on by the NDSU Emergency Management Student Association and Department of Emergency Management.

They covered many hazards, from car trouble to flooding. Disasters are more devastating when people aren't prepared.

Tim Fresonke, Emergency Management Association President, says, "what we're trying to do up here in the midwest, especially in Fargo, is build that partnership so we know who everybody is, we can put a face to a organization, and we have that rapport built with them before we need their assistance."

NDSU students also displayed their rubber duck themed public service announcements, created for a disaster preparedness class.
