Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Dr. Alonna Norberg claims her husband never discussed Propofol with her, before she says he injected her with it and raped her.

She took the stand for her second day of testimony against her husband, Dr. Jon Norberg, who is charged with gross sexual imposition and reckless endangerment.

The day began with cross examination from Dr. Jon Norberg's defense

attorney, Robert Hoy. Hoy questioned Dr. Alonna Norberg about her previous knowledge of Propofol, the drug Jon Norberg is accused of using on her before the alleged assault. Claiming the couple had discussed its use beforehand. Some of the testimony you're about to hear is graphic.

Hoy: "You agreed to administration of Propofol by husband for your chronic pain, correct?"

Alonna: "Incorrect, I agreed to the use of Diprivan, unknowing that it was Propofol."

Alonna Norberg testified that she and her husband had never discussed Propofol, the same drug that killed Michael Jackson, as treatment for her chronic pain, but rather Diprivan, the drug's brand name.

She claims that although she is also a physician and had experience

with Propofol, she did not know they were the same thing and did not

read the articles her husband brought home before using it.

Alonna: "I'm sorry Mr. Hoy, I loved him. I thought he was the best surgeon in the world and trusted him. I was sick. I was so sick."

Alonna testified they consensually used the drug three times, but says Jon used it about 30 times over 18 months, before sexually assaulting her.

Alonna: "choking that's what I remember. I don't consider that sex."

Defense attorney Hoy showed a home video Alonna made one morning following an alleged assault.

Hoy: "Is there anything about that videotape that tends to prove that your husband raped you the night before?"

Alonna: "no, other than we shouldn't have Diprivan by the side of the bed."

He also highlighted Alonna's history of drug dependency, showing a list of 40 medications she had been prescribed during one time period.

He argued that Alonna feared losing her three children if the couple

would divorce, and had her read from an anniversary card she gave to

Jon.

Alonna (reading card): "I need to fight for you, I don't want

you to leave me and I won't lose my children. Please stick with me. If you can, I will try harder each day."

Hoy says Alonna contacted her own divorce attorney before ever going

to police or reporting the assault.

Dr. Jon Norberg's gross sexual imposition charge is punishable by up to life in prison.
