Sentencing delayed in Dickinson bank fraud case

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The sentencing of a Dickinson couple has been delayed on charges that they stole almost $800,000.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The sentencing of a Dickinson couple has been delayed on charges that they stole almost $800,000.

Betty and Wally Kolling have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

The Kollings were scheduled to be sentenced in federal court in Bismarck on Tuesday. But the sentencing was postponed. It has not yet been rescheduled.

A lawyer for Betty Kolling says the delay will give more time for the Kollings and prosecutors to work out a repayment agreement.

Prosecutors say Betty Kolling stole the money from five clients when she worked as a trust officer for the Bank of the West in Dickinson.

Betty Kolling says in court documents that she funneled the money to her sister, Ann Loran of Richardton. Loran has also pleaded guilty in the case.
