Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A short ceremony spanning the Red River honored those who've served us.

This morning, a group gathered at the Veterans Memorial Bridge. They prayed for all vets, making a special note of POWs and those missing in action.

The Color Guard Commander says they honor veterans of all wars, from the Revolutionary War to current conflicts.

Russel Stabler, color guard commander, says, "all veterans are our brothers. And their families, as well. And I think it's very important that they be, everybody be remembered for the sacrifices they made for our nation."

It was a packed day of celebrations in Fargo. There was a parade, music, and free lunch downtown.
