A Fargo woman celebrates her 100th birthday

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A Fargo woman is ringing in one-hundred years of life, and she is no worse for the wear.

Isabel Mische celebrates her 100th birthday Monday.

Friends and family threw her a party today at Holy Spirit Church.

Isabel still lives on her own, and is famous in the family for her great party mix and toffee. She says she was surprised at how many people showed up to help her celebrate.

Mische says, "in a way I was a little embarassed, because it's not unusual for anybody to be 100 anymore. A lot of people get to be 102, 3, 4, 5. So, I'm only 100!"

Isabel and her three-month-old great granddaughter, 100 years apart in age, share a first name.
