(WDAY TV) -- The Deacon's offense only scored 14 points but it didn't matter because their defense contained Grafton playmaker Christian Lunde and forced six turnovers in the second half.

We knew Lunde was going to be a great player and a huge factor for them and we knew we just had to contain him like you said and keep him inside, wrap him up and tackle him.

We had trouble getting the ball moving on offense, but we got some deep balls going and that was the difference.

It's nice to have that kind of brotherhood that you have with your quarterback and me and him we have been hooking up all year long and today it kind of just came down to the wire and it really worked out for us.

The first two years winning state was awesome, but not having much to do with it and then last year Grafton beat us so it was a little more personal and getting back on top was the last hurrah it really meant something.

One last note, Dan Arnold the guy who scored the two touchdowns moved here from Illinois this past summer and his teammates are pretty happy he did.
