Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) - A heated race for Public Service Commission came to an end with State Senator Randy Christmann on top.

Democrat candidate Brad Crabtree accused current commissioners of accepting bribes from special interests.

Christmann fired back, saying the contributions were legal campaign donations, and that Crabtree was a radical environmentalist.

Despite the controversy, Christmann says he is proud of the campaign he ran.

Randy Christmann, (R) Elected to PSC: “We have stayed on point throughout the whole thing, talking about building infrastructure, taking care of ag producers, taking care of the land, and keeping North Dakota's economy moving forward. That's a positive message and I think the people appreciated it.”
