Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Clay County is honoring 5 men who helped save a woman from a burning car after an accident on Highway 75 north of Moorhead in early October.
Today Sheriff Bill Bergquist gave Colton Janousek, Cameron Janousek and Thomas Pink the Citizen Citation for Distinghuised Service Award. They helped pull Brianna Pallota, a complete stranger, out of her vehicle. Sheriff Bergquist say they undoubtedly saved a life.
Cameron Janousek β Honored for Saving Life: βIt came to that point I was out there and I just made that choice to go out there and do it. I'm thankful I did it. It was kind of a life-lesson for me. Life-changing situation, but I'm really glad I stepped in there and helped her out.β
Sheriff Bergquist also honored Deputy Empting and Deputy Mork for their live-saving actions that night.
