Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- NDSU will take back the top ranking in the FCS coaches poll on Monday. But, it was far from a pretty win Saturday at Missouri State.

The defense was spectacular again, but the offense struggled mightily, For the 2nd time this season, Quarterback Brock Jensen was intercepted 3 times, including a pick six, this one was returned 100 yards.

It's surprising numbers for one of the most efficient passers in all of FCS. Offensive coordinator Brent Vigen works closely with Jensen and says he constantly speaks with him during the game, trying to get a feel for what's going on.

Vigen says, "Trying to correct mistakes, trying to see what he saw and then move on. I try to keep him moving forward. He has a great body of work behind him. You're going to have your days when everything doesn't roll. I think we're seeing what happens as the season goes along. Those defensive coaches coach too. The things that you may have gotten away with that first part of the year, you're not. They tighten things up. You have to give them credit. They did a good job. They were prepared."
