Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- When some of you wake-up in the morning for deer hunting in Minnesota, it is going to be a little chilly. In fact, maybe you should "pack" some chili. When you head out to the deer hunting woods, the temperature will be below freezing.

They came in herds, deer hunters buying long underwear, orange hats, anything to keep them warm in the deer stands this weekend. A forecast of rain and snow changes the fashion trends in the woods.

Jayson Sayler/Scheels All Sports: "You want to have a waterproof shell to protect yourself from wind and rain, it could ruin your hunt pretty fast."

Scheel's Jason Sayler says avoid cotton and remember your feet and your hands.

Sayler: "Mitt style gloves allow you to pull back and feel the trigger and ones that have heat pouches in them."

Jason Solheim/Moorhead hunter: "It seems every year, it seems cold, colder than you though it would be."

And with technology and chemistry you never know what to expect, scent control underwear, they will never smell you coming.

Jared Solheim shopped for anything that will keep him warm as he heads north tomorrow.

And finally this, not fashion. But technology. With your GPS, these Trax Chips....it lets you know exactly where you are in the woods. Public or private land, good to know, when you're tracking the big one that got away.

And our John Wheeler says the snow tomorrow may not stick around, but he is watching another system tomorrow.
