Cobbers prepare for the biggest game they've had all season

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Quite simply, it's the biggest game on the Concordia campus in the last seven years. The Cobbers have been angling their entire season to this Saturday and now it's here. Concordia hosts third ranked St Thomas.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Quite simply, it's the biggest game on the Concordia campus in the last seven years. The Cobbers have been angling their entire season to this Saturday and now it's here. Concordia hosts third ranked St Thomas.

This Saturday, the Tommies come in unbeaten, holding the top spot in the MIAC.

Concordia finds itself in a tie for second with Bethel, but another loss and the Cobbers can kiss the playoffs goodbye, adding even more pressure to a game that they've been looking forward to since August.

Terry Horan, Concordia's head coach, says, "This is where you want to be, really go into this game, it's the team that makes fewest mistakes that ends up winning."

Brett Baune, Concordia Sr. running back, says, "All of the work thru off-season comes down to this week, we realize that and we're ready to capitalize."

Griffin Neal, Concordia Soph. quarterback, says, "Basically beginning of year teams thought we're one dimensional, we kept passing in back pocket, we showcased it gives St Thomas take care of passing game we may pound the ball down their throat too."

Concordia hasn't beaten the Tommies since 2007, it's a 1 pm kickoff Saturday at the Jake
