Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - A summer staple is packing it up for the winter.

The 8th Street Moorhead Dairy Queen closed for the season at four this afternoon.

The walk-thru ice cream shop closes on Halloween every year.

It is one of the oldest Dairy Queens in the country, serving ice cream since 1949.

They will re-open March 1st.
