FARGO, N.D. (AP) — One of three people charged in the heroin overdose death of a Fargo blues guitarist has pleaded guilty.
The Forum newspaper reports that 25-year-old Seth Lund admitted in federal court on Monday to injecting a drug-filled needle into the arm of 30-year-old Cody Conner in June. Authorities say Conner died shortly after.
Lund struck a deal with prosecutors in which he will serve seven years in prison on a charge of possessing heroin with the intent to distribute it. A judge must agree to the terms. Lund is to be sentenced Jan. 23.
Twenty-four-year-old Nicole Wadsworth and 27-year-old Nathan Evenson have pleaded not guilty to providing the heroin that led to Conner's death. Their trial is to begin Dec. 11. They could face life in prison if convicted.
