Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Fargo Police say it was a lot of pressure preparing for President Clinton's visit.

They, too, found out last minute. Police stepped up enforcement, stationing officers at the airport for the former President's arrival. They were also stationed at each spot where Clinton entered, and left the Civic.

Police say it was a rush to get everything done.

Lt. Joel Vettel with the Fargo Police says, "we know these are events that, especially political events, that stir a certain level of emotion, and again we work and do our due dilligence to make sure the event is safe as possible."

Police just found out this morning.
