With Clinton's visit can Heitkamp pass Berg?

What a treat people are in for tonight, a surprise visit by the former president, a man known for his charisma, the powerful speeches. And how timely for Heidi Heitkamps campaign. We're now just 8 days away from the election.

In the last 2 weeks we've seen polls range from this race being a tie to Berg up by 10 points.

Our political expert Jim Danielson says he suspects Berg's lead to be more around 5 points.

So the question is can the most popular politician in our country right now, do enough to make up that gap for Heitkamp?

Political expert, Jim Danielson, says, "Clinton's influence and personality could probably tweak the difference by a percentage point or so but if Berg and Heitkamp aren't that close I think the election still favors Berg."

We found out today this surprise visit is partially due to what's happening with Sandy on the East Coast right now. It freed up Mr. Clinton's schedule, so here he is tonight trying to help democrats remain in control of the Senate.
