Local air travel is not affected by Sandy

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- So far those flight cancellations on the east coast have not affected flights here.

Nearly all flights have been flying in and out of Hector International Airport. But travelers should check on connections in other cities to make sure those flights are still on

Travelers we talked to coming from the east were happy to be home and out of the storm.

David Mau, who flew in from Washington D.C., says, "pretty much complete panic, people were buying water, they were bunkering in for a couple of days. A lot of people were getting stuff from work, to work from home on the internet and you could tell something was coming."

This afternoon, United airlines had cancelled a flight to and from Chicago.
