Prayer service honors McGovern

Sioux Falls, SD (WDAY TV) -- A prayer service tonight honored former U.S. Senator and 3-time presidential candidate George McGovern.

Sioux Falls, SD (WDAY TV) -- A prayer service tonight honored former U.S. Senator and 3-time presidential candidate George McGovern.

Friends, admirers and Vice President Joe Biden payed their respects during a public viewing, saying he was a generous man who stayed true to his beliefs.

McGovern died Sunday at age 90. He was a political legend in South Dakota, and was very involved in efforts to feed the hungry.
