Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- Two people from Fergus Falls have pleaded guilty in a puppy caper case in August.
Joli Rae Martin, of Fergus Falls has been sentenced to 30 hours of community service. Her boyfriend Jason Schmidt, who also pleaded guilty, and got the same sentence.
Police said Schmidt waited in the car outside the mall while Martin took the puppy from the "Pets-r-Inn" store at West Acres. The puppy, valued at about $500, and was eventually found in Schmidt's home and returned to the store.
