Jessica Wieshar is remembered with a special memorial

Pelican Rapids, MN (WDAY TV) -- A moving tribute to a Pelican Rapids girl whose life was cut short in a tragic school bus accident in 2008.

Pelican Rapids, MN (WDAY TV) -- A moving tribute to a Pelican Rapids girl whose life was cut short in a tragic school bus accident in 2008.

Firefighters and city leaders in Albertville, Minnesota have decided to build a memorial park there, in remembrance of 16-year old Jessica Wieshar.

The teenager died after the bus, carrying Pelican Rapids students, crashed on Interstate 94. The memorial will be near the site, and will feature a butterfly garden, with flowers, paving stones, and a special path.

Volunteers and city workers have agreed to pick up the tab for the 12-thousand dollar memorial.
