FORT SNELLING STATE PARK, Minn. (AP) — A worker was killed when a backhoe tipped over at Fort Snelling State Park.

KSTP-TV reports the backhoe operator was dredging a pond when the backhoe tipped over, pinning and killing him, on Monday morning.

Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Pat Hogan says the ground was soft, and that while crews were using planks to stabilize the backhoe it still tipped over for some reason.

The worker's name was not immediately released.
