Muskie Program is returning to North Dakota

Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) -- A monster catch may soon be returning to some local waters.

Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) -- A monster catch may soon be returning to some local waters.

The National Fish Hatchery near Valley City is relaunching the state's muskie program.

Organizers say the infrastructure is in place and professors and students at Valley City State University will provide the manpower to make this program work.

The program ran into past problems when it wasn't able to provide enough feeder fish for the muskies. It was eventually eliminated.
