Roads in western North Dakota need repair before winter

North Dakota (WDAY TV) -- Officials in western North Dakota say some main roads need repair soon, or will be severely damaged by winter traffic.

North Dakota (WDAY TV) -- Officials in western North Dakota say some main roads need repair soon, or will be severely damaged by winter traffic.

The Dunn County road superintendent wants the oil companies that use the roads to put them back to their former condition. The superintendent wants the County Commission to require the oil companies to sign a road repair agreement.

He says the roads are damaged because of the heavy trucks used in the oil patch. Dunn County is one of the leading oil producing counties in the state.
