High winds cause power outages in the metro

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- High winds left nearly 800 metro area homes without power as crews worked to repair outages.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- High winds left nearly 800 metro area homes without power as crews worked to repair outages.

Cass County Electric Cooperative reported about 660-homes lost power because of a transformer problem early this morning. They had power back on around 5 a.m.

Xcel Energy reported 117-homes lost power after a tree hit a primary cable.

They also had two single outages.
