Wildfire destroys most of a small town in North Dakota

Bucyrus, ND (WDAY TV) -- Strong winds spread a wildfire that devastated the tiny southwest North Dakota town of Bucyrus, south of Dickinson.

Bucyrus, ND (WDAY TV) -- Strong winds spread a wildfire that devastated the tiny southwest North Dakota town of Bucyrus, south of Dickinson.

Four of the seven or eight homes in town were destroyed. Firefighters were able to save a church.

A privately owned elevator on the outskirts wasn't damaged in the town of about 30. The town's only business, a picture-framing shop, was destroyed.

The state fire marshal will be investigating the cause.
