Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - As we add more candles to our birthday cakes, some of us begin thinking of ways to send old age "packing."
Now, a group of physicians in Fargo, has opened "Eternity Medicine Institute." A clinic that tackles the long asked question: How can we look younger, and feel healthier as we age, as we search for the fountain of youth.
Even Yogi and Boo-boo searched for it. Anything to be young again.
46-year old Pat Grenyo listens as Physician Assistant Cristy Selzler of Eternity Medicine, goes through some recent test and lab results coming out of his enrollment in Eternity's age management program.
Those who take part in the age management program are prescribed natural hormones, diet, fitness and supplements to fight back time, but not only time but heart disease and diabetes.
Dr. Joel Schock, Eternity Medicine Institute: “We have found people do function better longer and as a side effect the risks for metabolic diseases, 80 percent of American, diabetes, hypertension tend to improve nicely with this program.”
Local physicians started Eternity Medicine as a way to step in and slow or stop the decline seen in their baby boomer patients. People like Pat, who was in good shape anyway, saw a difference almost immediately.
Pat Grenyo, Eternity Patient: “Just my energy level, my energy level sky-rocketed immediately.”
A head to toe physical assessment, as well as diagnostic tools and screenings, carefully lay out a road map for physicians and their patients. The result? Weight loss, reduction in inflammation, increased libido, more energy.
Schock: “See them start to get rid of some of the meds they were on.”
Body fat has dropped from 22 to 15. Weight is down 13 pounds.
Eternity says it is a proactive way to keep men and women healthy, out of the hospital and off medications.
All as we search for the age defying answers.
This concierge style medicine can cost patients about $2,500 for the startup membership fee.
