Park River, ND (WDAY TV) - A sheriff's deputy accused of breaking in to a gas station has resigned.
22-year-old Adam Koenig of Park River faces burglary and property damage charges after officers found him hiding in a Crookston gas station.
Police say he was wearing his badge on his belt at the time and identified himself as a Walsh County deputy.
Koenig had just been hired in September.
If he's convicted or pleads guilty, he could lose his peace officer license.
