(WDAY TV) -- We've reached the postseason for North Dakota 9-man football, the opening round kicks off this weekend.

2010 state champ Wyndmere-Lidgerwood enters in good shape, the Warbirds clinched the top seed in Region 1 last week and know what it takes to make a postseason run.

Scott Strenge, Wyndmere-Lidgerwood Head Coach, says, "Reinforcing what we've been trying to teach from the get-go, it's been frustrating, like how the kids have found a way to get wins, we're definitely not peaking now, and hopefully start peaking soon and get a nice playoff run."

Jeff Illies, Sr. tight end, says, "Keep the intensity going keep finishing

games like we have come out in the first half, can't take anyone for granted."

Wyndmere-Lidgerwood hosts Hillsboro-Central Valley Saturday, final night of the 2A season tonight
