Golf Course food drive is busy because of nice weather

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Today's gorgeous weather meant good news for local food pantries, as those who donated three non-perishable items, got free golf at Village Green and The Meadows in Moorhead.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Today's gorgeous weather meant good news for local food pantries, as those who donated three non-perishable items, got free golf at Village Green and The Meadows in Moorhead.

Hundreds of items came in. The course was packed most of the day. Workers at the Meadows in south Moorhead said they usually aren't this busy on a Tuesday afternoon during the summer.

Tee times were booked solid for nearly 5-hours straight. Golfers were also able to donate 5-dollars instead of a single canned food item.
