Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - After a long battle with the city of Fargo, Lucky's 13 will be allowed to have live entertainment at its restaurant.
The commission voted to approve the entertainment license for the restaurant after handing it a cease and assist order several months back.
The restaurant had live music when it first opened, but was forced to stop when the city said it didn't have the proper permits.
Managers at Lucky's 13 say the live music isn't any louder than its jukebox and only usually has just a one to four piece band.
The city had expressed concern that live music might lead to more police calls and more intoxicated patrons.
Tonya Barbeau, General Manager/Lucky’s 13 Pub: “We had entertainment for seven months from last September to May and we never had an issues or police calls to our location, so I don't foresee it being an issue moving forward.”
The restaurant now plans to host live music every Friday and Saturday night.
