LITCHVILLE, N.D. – An 87-year-old man died Sunday from burns suffered Saturday when he was burning a slough two miles north of here.
Wesley "Bud" Ten Pas apparently was burned after his tractor caught fire, apparently while trying to extinguish the flames, Sheriff Randy McClaflin of Barnes County said today.
Ten Pas was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Fargo, then transferred to the burn unit at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he died Sunday.
